Goodbye old London town (9th December)

The Wren café was voted the 2014 ‘best new Café in London’ … We enjoyed morning tea there this morning with Andrew Buerger… if you’re ever in London you should check this one out – lots of space, a lovely setting, friendly service  and yummy food/coffee…

A quick walk over to the Globe Theatre and some Christmas markets before embarking on our journey back to Paris….

So today it was 'goodbye London'.

We have enjoyed your sights immensely and been drenched with your history. We survived your hustle and bustle and mastered your underground – so confident were some in our party that they were able to navigate the tunnels, escalators and carriages while reading the sports pages of the free paper picked up at the station.

We have cleaned your walls with little fingers and hands (apparently a job done by Danielle back in 1978 and so no doubt the city was ready for another Aussie clean). We have filled up on your British breakfasts and sampled your multicultural options for dinner.
We are thankful for all of the wonderful opportunities and experiences we have shared together in this old but not tired city.
